Our Public Training is called Get South Africa Moving (GSAM) and is held in 2 sessions:

Morning Session

  • Attitude and behaviour
  • The law
  • Personal and protective gear
  • Preparing to ride
  • Track and safety rules
  • The fun and freedom of riding safely
  • Static Practice (Bikes on centre stand)
  • Stands and manual handling
  • Balance and braking (Engine off)
  • Slow ride and controlled stop
  • Basic turns and cornering
  • Quick stop
  • Cone weaves

Afternoon Session

  • South African roads, safety and managing the risks
  • Video footage of safe riding skills
  • Road positioning
  • Figure 8
  • U-turn
  • Emergency stop
  • Pull off on an incline
  • Emergency lane change and swerving
  • Surface conditions

From you:

  • Dress in comfortable clothing with long sturdy trousers or jeans
  • Closed shoes that preferably cover your ankles
  • Sun block & lip balm
  • A smile and some enthusiasm!!
You must be able to ride a bicycle to attend any of our training courses. (if you are unable to ride a bicycle you will not be allowed to continue the training and your payment will be forfeited. We can arrange bicycle training for you on request.)


Our Guarantee

If you can’t ride a scooter by the end of your training we’ll train you for free until you can.
