Throwback Thursday - Mother's Milk on the Move

Scully Scooters has shown time and time again that amazing things can happen with a Scooter, a Rider, and a Dream.

One such example is the incredible Mother’s Milk on the Move Initiative - or MoM for short. 

The project began with groups of bikers coming together to deliver countless jars of breast milk for premature babies. Every day premature babies around South Africa are desperately clinging to life in need of proper nutrition for their growth.

According to The Relate Trust; “One in seven babies is born premature, and 60% of those born weighing less than 1kg do not survive, mostly due to a lack of resources.”

This project was aimed at ensuring the survival of premature newborns through a delivery service initiative that brought the breast milk imperative for survival to the babies in hospitals. Lives were saved, Riders were put into work, and stereotypes around female Riders were shattered all due to this one project.
